Our History

Cymbeline Springers was founded by Barb Ciresi who has over 50 years experience and expertise in breeding, raising, and training English Springer Spaniels.  Cymbeline Springers is well known as a kennel driven by a deep love for the breed and the desire to produce excellent all around dogs which not only can compete but also be a great family companion.  English Springer Spaniels provide years of enjoyment to their owners and families if they are well cared for and loved.  It goes without saying that a good healthy dog takes care and vigilance as well as patience and being consistent with them.

Awards & Honors

Cymbeline has produced excellence in breed standard, type and performance.  We have produced Best in Show winners in the American Kennel Club, Canadian Kennel Club, and International Kennel Club systems as well as many Specialty Show winners including Best in Specialty Show.  We have produced Obedience winners going all the way to Utility Degree and High in Trial.  We have produced many tracking titles including Tracking Champion.  Our versatility is shown by the many working dog, working dog excellents and hunting degrees our dogs have been awarded as well as many just good gun dogs and hunting companions. Our dogs have done well in Agility as well.

Our Tradition

Most importantly we have been blessed by the many family companions that carry our Cymbeline name.  Over the years we have had lots of families who have come back to us for the second, third and fourth time to "get another one as close as possible to the last one."

Health Background of Puppies

Our dogs are bred and raised with temperment as the premiere health issue.  Our dogs are certified normal in hips, eyes, and hearts.  We do our very best to screen for and eliminate the hereditary disorders associated with this breed.  Health issues are important and should be addressed with your breeder and veterinarian.  Conditions such as hereditary eye disorder, hip dysplasia, seizure disorders, skin disorders and ear infections sometimes occur in this breed.

Selecting a Puppy

Every puppy should be socialized, be curious and playful.  Cymbeline Springer puppies are just that and have the best temperments that are good for families.  When choosing a puppy make sure and meet both parents and it's littermates if possible.  See their wonderful interaction!  It is important to continue to nurture and train your puppy even as it grows and matures.  The puppy will only be as good as the time and effort you put into it.
